Dear Marion & Larry,
Thank you for the wonderful experience at Whinny Acres. The
horseback riding, activities & hospitality was more
than I had hoped for, and made a wonderful surprise birthday
gift for Terra. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely in your
beautiful home. I thought you might want a few other pictures
of our time with you, perhaps to use on your website. You
will definitely be hearing from us again, perhaps for a
trip in the summertime. Thank you again.

Hi Marion, Doug and Katelyn,
Kannan, Aidan and I wanted to thank you again for a terrific
time on
Saturday. The evening ride was beautiful and Aidan misses
Brumby terribly!
Thanks to your recommendation, we stayed at Munshaws and
had a lovely meal
at the restaurant. It was a perfect day and we will definitely
book some
weekends for next year. Please keep my email in mind if you
ever send out
newsletters for future events. Next time we will be sure
to book in advance
so we can stay at your B&B!
Thanks again and enjoy your winter,

Hey Marion,
just wanted to let you know that John and I had a great
time. Everything was fabulous and we were very pleased
in choosing your stable for our riding adventure.
We are of course still recovering from our exertions, but
it is nothing but an excuse to take it easy today without
any guilt.
You will remain an inspiration to me. I will look to the
dreams that I have and not allow my achievement of them
to be cut short by my perceptions of my own limitations.
Great job again and our thanks for a great memory.
All the best in the future,
Sue Farley

Hi Marion, thanks so much for calling tonite to check on
Smokey. She is absolutely fine, seemingly no ill effects!
Thanks to you and your quick response, help and great idea,
I think. It was so kind of you to call and check on her/us.
I was so upset - she has never been ill a day in her life,
that I am aware of!
We so enjoyed our stay with you, we are already planning
a fall time & will be calling you to book. I would
have called you back tonite, but we got in fairly late
and I didn't want to disturb you.
Thanks again, you are truly awesome!!! Can't say enough
great stuff about you and the farm.
Many good wishes,
Sally Morris

Hi Marion!
Just wanted to write and say what a wonderful time Lisa
and I had yesterday (despite the rain!!). I didn't get
a chance to thank both Doug and yourself properly - I went
to the car to grab a change of clothes from the trunk,
and the sky just opened up and downpoured! I practically
had to jump into the trunk to keep dry. Needless to say
- I got trapped in the car and couldn't really get out
again to tell you how much we both appreciated the expereince.
Doug was fantastic - we really enjoyed the trails he took
us on, as well as the swim! Even though we were all wet
and shivering, it was really great that he took us into
the water anyway. We very much enjoyed his company, and
were very fortunate to have such a knowledgeable (and daring!)
guide for the day.
The horses were fabulous as well, please give an extra
pat on the neck to both Snoopy and Larkin for us. They
were such an easy going pair, full of personality and sweet
as could be. It made us both miss our horses very much.
Larkin reminded me a great deal of my old show horse Sporty
- he had a similar look in his eye and even resembled him
in some ways.
All in all, a great day. I'm looking forward to planning
my next trip back. Thanks again!!

Hi Marion & Larry,
Thank you both so much for everything during our wonderful
stay at Whinny Acres.
Our B&B stay was the best we have ever experienced.
You made us feel like family and your gourmet breakfasts
far
exceeded anything we have experienced in our travels. I love
your creativity in presentation of the food to make it fun
and yummy.
Your trails were challenging and very scenic and your horses
were more than just trail horses for sure.
Thanks again for your understanding of a hurting body and
making special arrangements to meet up with the all day lake
ride. This enabled us to experience swimming with the horses
but not having to put our bodies over the top of the pain
threshold after riding for five hours on the river ride the
day before.
We will be back in the fall for sure and are thinking of
bringing our horses to experience Whinny Acres with us.
I also think that the winter sleigh ride sounds like a hoot
too, so you may have to reserve our room for each season.
Thanks again for a wonderful experience.

Hi Marion - I hope you have been enjoying all of the summer
camps - I just
have to tell that almost everyday Solah and Marley play "horse
camp". All
the dolls that can fit onto all the horses we have are lined
up to have
their lessons, go on trail rides, break for lunch, swim in
the pool (aka
sink). There are pretend walkie talkies involved and names
for all the
campers, instructors and volunteers - gives me Solah's lens
on her Whinny
acres life when she is there - I should video record it for
you one day,
especially the parts where they get into fights about who
should be on what
horse or what part of the program they are in at the moment,
would give you
a good laugh.
Hope all is well there.

Hi Marion,
The bus arrived exactly on schedule yesterday and I got
home last night after an entirely uneventful trip. I
really
can’t tell you how much I enjoyed the ride and appreciated
all the time and trouble you put in to accommodating me
(and feeding me so, so well…that breakfast soufflé was
the best breakfast dish I’ve ever had). Whinny Acres
is everything a place associated with horses should be:
impeccably managed, safe, cheerful, and calm. As for the
accommodation, I’ve been much less comfortable in
many hotels than I was in your little bunkie!
I also greatly enjoyed chatting with you. You are an amazing
person, and your style of running your business is very inspiring.
I just wish I lived a bit closer so I could come regularly
for short rides and lessons. I will certainly come back one
summer, perhaps for a five day trip. In the meantime, if
there’s ever a spot open on one of the longer rides
that you think would be suitable for me, let me know on the
off chance that I can get there for it.
And, as you might expect, I really miss Buddy. Please slip
him a carrot or two for me; he’s such a gem. He and
the others reminded me just how important it is to me to
be around horses, so I’ll be looking for ways to make
it happen much more often.
I hope your busy August goes well and you get in a bit of
time for yourself before the November lull.
.
Hugs to you, doggies and horses.

“Thank you for the 5 day ride”
Hello Marion!
It’s been a hectic week but the shower is over and
it was a huge success so I can breathe and take a few minutes
to write. I wanted to say thank you for all the caring and
concern you showed throughout our entire visit with you.
Much of it was above and beyond the call of duty – especially
stopping traffic on Hwy 10 – (still can’t get
that picture out of my mind!) Even without that, you have
the gift of making a person feel very special and comfortable
in your home. It’s always a great treat to be a guest
somewhere, but you gave the word a whole new meaning with
your thoughtfulness and consideration for our well-being
and our safety…even going the extra mile for toilet
paper and cheese!! ? I realize my drawbacks could have been
a nuisance but you and your wonderful staff never made me
feel that way and for this old”er” broad, that’s
a big plus!
I already have another friend who wants to join Shirley
and myself next summer when we sign up for another trek through
your beautiful country! I wish I could make it up again in
the fall but with the Stag & Doe still looming as well
as the wedding in September, this year is out. However, with
good exercise, diet and determination, I should be an okay
candidate for next year. (Did I mention plastic surgery???)
However, if miraculous changes do not occur, I shall still
endeavor to ride the range again!! As long as you still have
that hot tub…
Seriously, it’s so good to know that there’s
such a wonderful place so near home…with such caring
people. I wish you and Larry the best year ever; I hope Steve,
Doug and all the others have a great summer with the guests
coming in, but know one thing… not one of them will
enjoy your food or your hospitality any more than I did!
Bye for now and don’t work too hard…I need you
rested and refreshed for next summer so enjoy your lovely,
long vacation this winter.
Take care; my love to all and I know Shirley shares my feelings
but her email isn’t available yet.

“Wonderful Weekend”
Hi Marion;
How are you? It was great meeting you in person. I want
to thank you for a wonderful time on the
weekend. Sheree and I both enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Our bedroom and the bathroom were fabulous. Lots
of space
and nicely decorated with everything we needed. Breakfast
was delicious and we really appreciated
the imagination you put into it and that everything was so fresh. Our horseback riding experience
is something we
will always remember. Your horses were easy to ride and we
thoroughly enjoyed our trek. We will certainly recommend you to others.
Again we had a great time. Thank you so much.

“ Seasons Greeting”
Hi Marion,
Happy New Year!!
This email card reminds me just how long it has been since
my daughter, Ryann and I last saw you, almost 6 months
ago. The weather and scenery were
much different then.
I meant to send this note sometime
ago to once again thank you and your great employees
for such a great time.
In addition, I have included some pictures for your viewing
pleasure and maybe in hopes one may appear on your website.
Thank you very much for the great summer adventure my daughter,
Ryann and I had the long weekend in August.
We walked away with memories we will remember for a long
time. To this very day we still share our great time with friends
and family.
We appreciated the great hospitality, great meals, especially
breakfast and had great fun making our lunches with all the
fix’ns for our day’s journey with Denis, our
knowledgeable and ever patient guide.
You and your staff made us feel so welcome and comfortable
from the moment we arrived, from selecting our personal horses
for our weekend stay, to setting up the campfire after the
refreshing dip in the pool.
Ryann and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and do miss our
horses. We also miss the beautiful scenery, great trails
and the amazing experience of swimming with the horses.
We are definitely going to return
next year. When we returned home Ryann started planning to come back
with her girlfriend to do the overnight summer riding camp
next summer. Funny though...they won’t let me come
along!! Maybe an adult riding camp is an idea?...wink wink!
Once again, we thank you again for your hospitality and
kindness. Please say “Hi” to everyone and give the horses
an extra handful of oats for us.
We have included some photos of the horses and hope you
enjoy looking at them as much as we have!!
Take care...happy trails,
Sincerely,
Ryann and Cheryl Koehler

“Thank you”
Hey Marion and gang!
Just wanted to send you a quick email to say thank you
for the ride today!! Mike and I had a fantastic time out
on the
trails with our guide - the boys talked shop, while Utah
and I had a chance to bond bringing up the rear! As I mentioned
to you, Utah was fabulous! I'm not sure that I've been
so relaxed since moving up here to the city as I was in
the
saddle today!
Mike and I have already talked about coming back next year
for a more extended ride - really looking forward to it!
Take care and happy trails,
Ami Rints

“Quality
Teaching”
Hi Marion,
Olivia has begun lessons at a stable nearby and I just
wanted to let you know that they are impressed with
the quality
of teaching she received while at your day camp. They
were surprised at her minimal experience and are very
happy with how well she’s doing.
Just wanted you to know…

Hi
Marion!
Just wanted to let
you know that we had a great time on our ride yesterday.
Thanks so much for everything!
It's nice to see that your
horses are well loved and cared
for. The gang all said they'd love to do it again.
..................................................................................................................................................
Just wanted to say a quick thank-you on behalf of myself
and my girlfriends who came and did the 2 hour ride on
Sunday past. I couldn't stop smiling during those two
hours - it was so fabulous to be able to "escape" the
city and be atop a beautiful horse in under an hours
time. The seven of us have already started planning our
next "girls afternoon out" at the stable...
hopefully in the fall to see the changing colours.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and patient - and what
a blast everyone had getting to go for a lope across some
of the fields! I was really impressed by the trails and
by the horses - all were well trained and virtually bomb-proof
- making even the greenest rider in our group feel comfortable
at faster gaits.
Thanks again - I have already recommended your stable to
several friends and co-workers - look forward to riding
with you again soon!
Sincerely,

Hope to see you for the 5 day ride sometime
in the future. Thanks also for forwarding
the forgotten sleeping bag back to us. Say hello to
Jacquie and Larry for us please.
Thanks a lot for everything yesterday! we all had a great
time and we all want to come back sometime during the summer.
Sorry we didn't have a chance to say goodbye before we
left - with so many people there's always a scramble of
all sorts to organize more things. We were wondering if
it would be possible to send us the copy of names and horses
that each person rode - I hope you still have that list.
if you can send that to me, that'd be great!

This is Nicole I love riding at your stable,
the horses and staff are great! I always
bring company and now they don't stop nagging me to take them again.
By far the half day ride
is my favorite, and well Golden Glory is my favorite
horse, and Kaylin, Jillian,Katee, one other girl ( i don't remember
the name sorry ) and Marilyn are my favorite guides. I just took
a one hour ride today it was lots of fun and I brought my
friends. Golden Glory was very excited
and really wanted to get going. Erin liked Montiego,
she said she would love to ride him again. Noelle has fallen in
love with Echo after she slipped off his back. Kelly enjoyed
Dylan very much, she has had a lot of
experience, and I would like to see her on
Sabrina or Jasper in the future. And last but not least Meaghan
rode Freckles. She really enjoyed her.
I wasn't sure at first if she would like
a different horse ( she likes to ride Lady ) but she really
enjoyed it, I was glad.
I am look forward to an all day ride sometime
in September, on my favorite horse, Golden
Glory. I have taken alot of pictures of all my favorite
horses, and Dylan doing his cool tricks. I don't have a scanner or
else I would send them to you. Thanks for the great times
we've had and the ones that are sure to come!
See ya in September for an all day ride ( do
i need a partner for that? ) with Golden
Glory. And hopefully I will be able to request some of the guides listed above.
