March Camp 2010

Time 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
Rate of $75.00 per day or $210 for 3 days

  • Western Riding Lesson

Lunches Includes –Monday: Chili or Vegetable Soup, crusty rolls, and Hot Chocolate Pudding. Tuesday: Chicken noodle soup & grilled cheese sandwiches and hot Apple Crisp with ice cream. Wednesday: Macaroni & Cheese, crusty rolls, Chef salad and Hot fudge Sundaes. (strawberry or butterscotch)

Summer Riding Camps

Ages 8 - 15 years

Daily 9:00 – 5:00 (pick up and drop off between 8:00 a.m. & 6:00 p.m.)

Arrival Sunday between 7:00 p.m.& 8:30 p.m., pick-up Friday afternoon

Spend the entire week with horses. Riding skills will be taught with western riding lessons, trail rides, and Cowboy oriented games.

Learning about our friend the Horse will include stable management, grooming, horse care, nutrition, breeds and the history of the horse.

Friday will be an exciting day for parents, family and friends, when the children present a rodeo, and ride one of there favourite horses. At the end of the day children will be presented a Certificate of Achievement and a Trophy.

The week will include:

  • Riding lesson daily
  • Trail ride daily
  • Rodeo games with horses daily
  • Horse-care, maintenance and theory daily
  • Swimming, Scavenger Hikes & Indian crafts
  • Water bottle holders & water will be provided
  • Friday horse demonstration and games for parents to view
  • Trophies and Certificates at the end of the Show on Friday

Things to Bring:

  2. Bathing suit and change of clothes
  3. Rain coat & boots
  4. Medication and instructions
  5. Sun screen and bug spray
  6. Overnight campers bring Flashlight, sleeping bag & pillow

About us: Safety is our number one requirement. We use covered stirrups on our saddles, provide helmets, small group lessons for personalized attention. Campers ratio is 1 supervisor for every 3 children, staff have the St. Johns Ambulance Certificate, and are qualified instructors.

Teen Camp

Ages 13- 17 years,

Week runs from Monday to Friday.

All participants must be able to groom and tack their own horse, walk, trot and canter.

On Monday, everyone is matched to a horse of there ability, provided a lesson, and head out on a short trail to the first nights camp site. The next three nights will be riding in the Grey County and Saugeen Forests, Swimming with horse in Black Lake, riding to the Durham Water Falls, stopping for Ice cream, swimming at the beach. Group will return to the farm on Friday, where we will say our good byes.
